Kenilworth Phab: Overflowing Energy and Joy

A few weeks ago, after having had an assignment for my dissertation at the start of term 2 put an enormous amount of pressure and stress on my shoulders, I decided to take advantage of the subsequently more relaxed period, and got involved in some volunteering. I chose Kenilworth Phab, a volunteering project I had heard a lot about, but had never volunteered with. My choice could not have been better.

Celebrating Chinese New Year with Kenilworth PHAB

Last Wednesday, Kenilworth PHAB came to the Warwick campus to celebrate the Chinese New Year. This event was actually originally suggested by one of the PHAB members, who used to live in Malaysia when he was younger. There was a huge turnout, with over 20 PHAB members and 12 student volunteers. The room was beautifully decorated with red paper lanterns and filled with Chinese New Year songs too!

Let’s look back at a busy volunteering year!

We are very happy to look back to 2015-16. It has been a year full of fantastic volunteers, meaningful projects, discoveries, friendships, learning… With more than 2500 members, 10,100 volunteered hours over 45 projects, University of Warwick students have had a large impact on the communities around campus.

Thank you to all the students and staff who have volunteered this year, and thank you to all our partners who help making student volunteering possible.
